Maybe there's an "automatically reload preview" setting that I turned on ages
ago. Either way, the Okularpart preview does update automatically for me when I

The document view changes only when I click ViewPDF or ForwardPDF. It also does

As already noted, it's not systematically reproducible. The reproduction steps
