Maybe someone else can weigh in? If I have a clip with 20 frames, the slow it
down to 50% speed, the current behavior is:

Can confirm, this is related to the graphics tablet. I unplugged its HDMI cable
from the DVI<-->HDMI adapter plugged into my PC, then logged out, and since
then the UI has been normal.
