Set the character limit to be roughly the limit of the notification osd. Also,
show the notification only once, e.g. after the first line of output. Seems

May I kind re-request this wish? Also because now ctrl+alt+i gives full access
to menus without the menu, and you could even add an "open menu" button to the
toolbar as Dolphin and other apps have.
