Installing the suggested fix to this bug has not worked.

I was thinking more along the lines of creating a snap package for KMM.
As you know, this would encapsulate all the resources that KMM would require
with zero KDE footprint on Ubuntu.

The only theme setting I can find is for Unity, not KDE.

There is an oxygen plasma package on Ubuntu:
