Yes, would be one solution. I'm having my contacts on owncloud and using
categories there (same categories as for events).
Another solution would be to set category as a sub item of the folders:

I succeeded in working around the problem - not that the problem in any way is
solved. What I did was to kill me entire KDE configuration (the ~/.kde
directory) and kill the akonadi

This seems to be in relation with the specific setup of wallet: use two
wallets, one for outer on for inner actions.
