I think this one isn't related to caldav. I don't use caldav, but set timezone.

Using IMAP.GOOGLEMAIL.COM as the IMAP (receiving) works to enable to normal
authentication options, which work fine.

I suggest we users try to make a more appropriate complaint. A Google group
