Since this is causing messages I send to either not be signed by me, stored on
my drive unencrypted, or not being able to unencrypt the messages, I think that
this is a pretty severe bug

Actually, I lied, my bug is a different one. I seem to no longer be able to
reproduce this in 4.10. I believe that this can be marked as a duplicate of the
#305346 bug mentioned before

Actually, I guess there are 3 different bugs here. I can reproduce this one,
