Additional data point: As a workaround, I now get cron to stop akonadi each
night before the IMAP server goes offline for backup, then start akonadi again

I just ran strace against Kontact while trying to store pgp?testmail.mbox on

Strange. It is really consistent over here - several users have seen it and in
my own tests, I've tried to store on ext4 (/tmp), NFS4 ($HOME) and FAT32 (USB
