Using kmail 17.04.2, KDE Frameworks 5.35.0, Qt 5.9.0 :
kmail shows all remote mail items via IMAP since more than 1 year now. I should
have reported it when it happened magically, sorry.

I stopped using kmail some months ago, as it became 100% unusable. I
think there is no way forward for kmail, as long as akonadi is used.
Any non-akonadi mail client I tried works fine. As did kmail

Restarting dbus helps, so I suspect something is wrong in the dbus
