I think there must be a way to manually add certain folders to the list of
locally unsubscribed folders in ~/.kde4/share/config/kmailrc. I haven't quite

OK, I think I've found a way to hack the KMail config + cache to get rid of the
Public Folders when connecting to an Exchange Servers via IMAP:
* Close KMail
