As I get something like you, I make a check about the versionnumber auf the
packages. And found some bugs. These lead to a lot of bugsby some
filterdefinitions also.
Have a look such as:

Well...
Dan found a problem with the fix, and made a revert.
The bug might depend on the speed of the CPU.
I now have a quickly CPU and no more problem!
The bug doesn't appear again but isn't fixed

It is NOT a filter bug.
It is a synchronisation bug.
A fix is coming soon.

I have made an analyse of the problem, one can read at the
kde-pim@ on 2010-10-31. The bug 77862 is:
- not an IMAP problem, all other protocols would have it too,
- not a kmail
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77862
--- Comment #86 from Maurel guy-kde maurel de 2010-10-22 18:32:22 ---
1) the proposal of a shorter timeout was already made at comment#48 and #49.
This can be done *now*, this will help lot of users.
2) the error handling has to be rewrite under

As written at comment #42, the bug isn't abandoned. I whish to let you test my
solution for it, until the migration to akonadi is done.
Now, kio_imap process doesn't hang anymore

I am very new here!
I got the trunk version of akonadi and the error is no more there. I use the
cmakeke to do the job. I cannot confirm the comment #2 from Frank.
