[kontact] [Bug 474823] New: Bogus event entry on GWR confirmation email
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474823 Bug ID: 474823 Summary: Bogus event entry on GWR confirmation email Classification: Applications Product: kontact Version: 5.23.3 Platform: Ubuntu OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: mail Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: mikl...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 161835 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=161835=edit KMail showing bogus event entries SUMMARY Bogus event entries are shown on the confirmation email after buying train ticket from GWR STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Buy a train ticket with seat reservation on GWR website with e-ticket as the fulfilment method 2. Open the confirmation email in KMail OBSERVED RESULT Apart from the normal event entries with correct names and train numbers, there are also entries with numerical origin / destinations corresponding to the number used in the ticketing system (1072 = London Terminals) with incorrect times. EXPECTED RESULT The incorrect entries do not exist. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Ubuntu 23.04 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.7 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.109.9 Qt Version: 5.15.8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Old version of KDE didn't have this issue. I have read that recently a functionality to parse National Rail e-tickets is added into the library and I suspect it is too buggy and cause the issue. The ticketing system used by FirstGroup train operating companies produces standard JSON data in the confirmation email which makes KMail show the correct information. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[kmail2] [Bug 472082] New: KMail doesn't load externally referenced images when email is displayed in own window
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472082 Bug ID: 472082 Summary: KMail doesn't load externally referenced images when email is displayed in own window Classification: Applications Product: kmail2 Version: 5.23.2 Platform: Neon OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: UI Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: k...@callthecomputerdoctor.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY KMail doesn't respect the "Allow messages to load external references from Internet" setting for emails when displayed in their own window. It respects the setting only in the preview pane. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Go to KMail -> Settings menu -> Configure KMail -> Security tab, -> ensure that "Allow messages to load external references from Internet" is checked 2. Back in KMail's main interface, find an email that has HTML content with pictures. Click on it. In the preview pane, external references appear as they should. 3. Now double-click on the email item to make it appear in its own window. OBSERVED RESULT When the email is in its own window, no external HTML pictures are loaded. Instead a red box appears with this message: "Note: This HTML message may contain external references to images etc. For security/privacy reasons external references are not loaded. If you trust the sender of this message then you can load the external references for this message by clicking here." EXPECTED RESULT Externally referenced HTML pictures should be immediately visible, as they are in the preview pane. I got this crash regularly since Debian 11 (sorry, late report... didn't figure out before how to add the debug symbols). My workaround is that I usually slow down - start KMail - wait a few seconds - and only then click Check Mail. Thought not sure if the crash even does anything that matters, kmail continues to run. Same crash also often happens if I click Check Mail twice in a row. Thought not always - some days (rather seldom) it allows me to click endless without getting this crash. - Further info: Possibly mail database is messed up. It's imported over and over since KDE 2.x times and the amount of times I had to run akonadictl fsck over the years to get rid of other problems (double mails, undeleted mails, etc) is very high. The crash can be reproduced sometimes. -- Backtrace: Application: POP3 Account (akonadi_pop3_resource), signal: Segmentation fault Content of s_kcrashErrorMessage: [Current thread is 1 (Thread 0x7fbeed2b34c0 (LWP 1816))] [KCrash Handler] #6 __memmove_avx_unaligned_erms () at ../sysdeps/x86_64/multiarch/memmove-vec-unaligned-erms.S:526 #7 0x7fbef26cb28b in memmove (__len=, __src=, __dest=) at /usr/include/x86_64-linux-gnu/bits/string_fortified.h:40 #8 QListData::remove (this=this@entry=0x7fff728c6028, i=, i@entry=0) at tools/qlist.cpp:282 #9 0x7fbef26cb5d9 in QListData::erase (this=this@entry=0x7fff728c6028, xi=xi@entry=0x558547bdbca0) at tools/qlist.cpp:347 #10 0x558545bf13fb in QList::erase (it=..., this=0x7fff728c6028) at /usr/include/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/QtCore/qlist.h:567 #11 POP3Resource::saveSeenUIDList (this=0x7fff728c6b50) at ./resources/pop3/pop3resource.cpp:930 #12 0x558545bf3010 in POP3Resource::finish (this=0x7fff728c6b50) at ./resources/pop3/pop3resource.cpp:848 #13 0x7fbef28a65a6 in QtPrivate::QSlotObjectBase::call (a=0x7fff728c6220, r=0x7fff728c6b50, this=0x558547b9c320) at ../../include/QtCore/../../src/corelib/kernel/qobjectdefs_impl.h:398 #14 doActivate (sender=0x558547b54fe0, signal_index=6, argv=argv@entry=0x7fff728c6220) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3886 #15 0x7fbef289f900 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=sender@entry=0x558547b54fe0, m=m@entry=0x7fbef3382ce0 , local_signal_index=local_signal_index@entry=3, argv=argv@entry=0x7fff728c6220) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3946 #16 0x7fbef332de7c in KJob::result (this=this@entry=0x558547b54fe0, _t1=, _t1@entry=0x558547b54fe0, _t2=...) at ./obj-x86_64-linux-gnu/src/lib/KF5CoreAddons_autogen/include/moc_kjob.cpp:576 #17 0x7fbef332e9a3 in KJob::finishJob (this=0x558547b54fe0, emitResult=) at ./src/lib/jobs/kjob.cpp:93 #18 0x7fbef333037a in KJob::emitResult (this=) at ./src/lib/jobs/kjob.cpp:297 #19 0x558545bfbf3f in SlaveBaseJob::slotSlaveResult (this=0x558547b54fe0, job=0x558547baa8e0) at ./resources/pop3/jobs.cpp:227 #20 0x7fbef28a65a6 in QtPrivate::QSlotObjectBase::call (a=0x7fff728c6390, r=0x558547b54fe0, this=0x558547b9f880) at ../../include/QtCore/../../src/corelib/kernel/qobjectdefs_impl.h:398 #21 doActivate (sender=0x558547baa8e0, signal_index=6, argv=argv@entry=0x7fff728c6390) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3886 #22 0x7fbef289f900 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=sender@entry=0x558547baa8e0, m=m@entry=0x7fbef3382ce0 , local_signal_index=local_signal_index@entry=3, argv=argv@entry=0x7fff728c6390) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3946 #23 0x7fbef332de7c in KJob::result (this=this@entry=0x558547baa8e0, _t1=, _t1@entry=0x558547baa8e0, _t2=...) at ./obj-x86_64-linux-gnu/src/lib/KF5CoreAddons_autogen/include/moc_kjob.cpp:576 #24 0x7fbef332e9a3 in KJob::finishJob (this=0x558547baa8e0, emitResult=) at ./src/lib/jobs/kjob.cpp:93 #25 0x7fbef28a65a6 in QtPrivate::QSlotObjectBase::call (a=0x7fff728c6470, r=0x558547baa8e0, this=0x558547b5b360) at ../../include/QtCore/../../src/corelib/kernel/qobjectdefs_impl.h:398 #26 doActivate (sender=0x558547babb50, signal_index=7, argv=0x7fff728c6470, argv@entry=0x0) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3886 #27 0x7fbef289f900 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=sender@entry=0x558547babb50, m=m@entry=0x7fbef361af20 ,

Enable holidays, in this example: German (Germany) 2. Inspect month view, in this example: throughout the year 2022 OBSERVED RESULT The following holidays, which occur on a Sunday by definition, are missing: - Beginn der Sommerzeit (27.03.2022) - Ostersonntag (17.04.2022) - Muttertag (08.05.2022) - Pfingstsonntag (05.06.2022) - Beginn der Winterzeit (30.10.2022) - 1./2./3./4. Advent (27.11.2022, 04.12.2022, 11.12.2022, 18.12.2022) The following holidays, which occur on Sundays in 2022 (and 2023) by accident, are SHOWN: - 1. Mai (01.05.2022) - 1. [korganizer] [Bug 451700] Holidays missing in month view for certain "Working Period" settings
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=451700 --- Comment #2 from Michael Büker --- Thank you for checking. I don't have the latest version handy for testing, but I've confirmed for the reported version: All of the German end-of-year holidays (including Weihnachtsfeiertag and Neujahr) disappear when I _disable_ "Exclude holidays" and _include_ Saturday and Sunday as "Working Period". However, there's one thing I neglected to mention in my original report: After changing the corresponding settings, I need to close and re-open korganizer for the bug to manifest itself (i.e. the holidays to disappear). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[korganizer] [Bug 451700] New: Holidays missing in month view for certain "Working Period" settings
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=451700 Bug ID: 451700 Summary: Holidays missing in month view for certain "Working Period" settings Product: korganizer Version: 5.18.1 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: monthview Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: m...@michael-bueker.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Any selected holidays are _missing_ in the month view for all those times which are defined as "Working Period" in the "Time and Date" settings. In other words: The month view only shows holidays if they occur on days which are _not_ a "Working Period" per "Time and Date" settings. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. In Settings -> Time and Date -> Holidays, choose some Holidays (tested for de_de). 2. In the month view, holidays will appear as expected. 3. In Settings -> Time and Date -> Working Period, disable "Exclude holidays". 4. In the month view, all holidays on weekdays will be missing. 5. In Settings -> Time and Date -> Working Period, additionally include Saturdays and Sundays as Working Period. 6. In the month view, all holidays will be missing. OBSERVED RESULT The month view shows holidays if (and only if) they fall outside of the defined "Working Period", which can be the case for two reasons: a) either "Exclude holidays" is activated, or b) the corresponding weekday is disabled in the "Working Period" definition. EXPECTED RESULT The month view should always show all selected holidays, regardless of the "Working Period" definition. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=449473 Bug ID: 449473 Summary: "Icons to use" setting for month view and agenda view has no effect Product: korganizer Version: 5.18.1 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: monthview Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: m...@michael-bueker.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY In korganizer Settings --> Views --> Month View (and Agenda View), it's possible to set the "Icons to use" for displayed events/todos/journals. However, these settings have no effect. They do not change the icons displayed in the month view (or agenda view), they are not saved in ~/.config/korganizerrc, and they are reset after restarting korganizer. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. create calendar events with certain attributes (e.g. recurrence, alarm) and view them in month view (or agenda view) 2. change the icons to be displayed in Settings --> Views --> Month View (and Agenda View) --> Icons to use OBSERVED RESULT The icons displayed in the month view (or agenda view) do not change. Additionally, after restarting korganizer, the settings made manually are lost and reset. EXPECTED RESULT The icons should change according to the selection, the setting should be preserved, and (presumably) saved in ~/.config/korganizerrc. Create a calendar called "pending.ics" on a CalDAV server. 2. Add it as an account in Kontact. 3. Create a recurring event on it. 4. Use DAVx5 on an Android phone to create another calendar, called "training.ics" on the same CalDAV account. 5. Resynchronise the folder list in Kontact and select "training.ics" in the folder list as well, such that both folders are enabled. 6. Edit the recurring event created in step 3, change it from "pending.ics" to "training.ics", save it. OBSERVED RESULT The event shows correctly in Kontact, however, if I use InfCloud to sign in the server, it shows that the same event are in both folders (pending.ics and training.ics), and Google Calendar on Android phone shows the event is in the old pending.ics folder but not in training.ics folder). Only by manually deleting the stale event in pending.ics using InfCloud, then deleting and recreating the account in Kontact and also disabling and enabling the folders in DAVx5, the event can be shown correctly as in training.ics on all my devices. EXPECTED RESULT After I change the folder from pending.ics to training.ics on Kontact, there should only be one event on training.ics as shown in InfCloud but not in pending.ics, and Google Calendar on Android phone should show it in training.ics but not pending.ics SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436812 --- Comment #4 from Dr. Michael Hälsig --- This seems to be the root of the problem: KOrganizer does not display events, where I as participant have not accepted the event. The Use Case is the following: I get an invitation (in this case from a Microsoft dominated environment). Even when I get the 'Accept Dialogue', and accept the invitation, the event is not shown in KOrganizer, but in the other synchronized calendars. Therefore I import the .ics File, but, as we both see, the event is not shown due to the Participation Status. ==> My conclusion: KOrganizer should display the event in any case, probably in another form, when my Participation Status is 'NEEDS ACTION', combined with the possibility to accept. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436812 Bug ID: 436812 Summary: Event not shown in KOrganizer, when my mail address is in in the ATTENDEE list Product: korganizer Version: 5.15.3 Platform: Debian testing OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: agendaview (weekview) Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: michael.hael...@online.de Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 138264 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=138264=edit the two .ics files SUMMARY When I import an .ics event, it is not shown in KOrganizer, although 'successfully imported' STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Import 'englert.ics'. The reaction is 'successfully imported'. The event is not visible 2. Delete the ATTENDEE part with my mail address manually in the .ics file, resulting in 'englert.kurz.ics' 3. Import 'englert.kurz.ics'. The event is visible. OBSERVED RESULT With me as participant the event is not shown in KOrganizer. But the event is visible e.g. in Thunderbird Calendar, Nextcloud Calendar and in my smartphone Calendar, which all are synchronized with KOrganizer via Nextcloud/caldav. If I delete me as participant manually in the .ics file, the event is shown in KOrganizer (and again in all other synchronized calendars) EXPECTED RESULT Event should be visible also in KOrganizer SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I add the two .ics files zipped. [kmail2] [Bug 431921] Black square appears sometimes in KMail
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431921 --- Comment #7 from Michael Pyne --- If it occurs in multiple programs it is likely a style bug (presumably breeze). If you're up to it, you could try running kmail as "kmail -style fusion" to try a different theme (Qt has a "Fusion" theme built-in) and see if the black square still comes up at random intervals. Note that KMail will look a bit different if you run it this way since the style is different. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=434909 Bug ID: 434909 Summary: Custom header themes per account/folder Product: kmail2 Version: 5.16.3 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: nortex...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- I have a number of email accounts so that when reading an email it is easy to lose track of which account it's from. I have to glance at the folder list and ensure the top folder (which account name) is shown to confirm the account. To make things easier, it would be nice if a custom header theme could be used per account, e.g. a blue background one personal and green background one work. I suppose this would make more sense if a number of variations on a theme were provided, such as fancy headers, or if there were some configuration settings where one could choose the background color of a particular header theme to allow minimal customization. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429444 Michael Vastola changed: What|Removed |Added CC||m...@vasto.la Ever confirmed|0 |1 Status|REPORTED|CONFIRMED --- Comment #3 from Michael Vastola --- I can confirm this is also happening on 5.15.1 (Latest release from Ubuntu Groovy). Oddly, for me, I can usually delete one feed or folder for each launch, and folders can only be deleted if I first delete each feed therein (re-running the app each time). Console output appears to include a line along the lines of this every time I try to delete something (whether or not it is successful): qt.qpa.xcb: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (BadWindow), sequence: 1964, resource id: 29423535, major code: 40 (TranslateCoords), minor code: 0 After deleting one or more feeds, I will get this when the program exits: kf.xmlgui: 0x5609c5508788 deleted without having been removed from the factory first. This will leak standalone popupmenus and could lead to crashes. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
