Another observation.
when clicking "Calendar properties", it opens the authentification page. After
re-authenticating, reloading, and re-updating, Things seem to become more
accurate, e.g. tasks and events are

Additional info: in akonadiconsole, the google resource is stuck at "changing
contact group 'xxx' (0%)".
Also, I have over 2.000 contacts in my google account, maybe the size adds to
the problem.
