Could you try the following?
On dolphin, write
nepomuksearch:/hastag=Tagname
With Tagname one of the tags of your mail and check if you get results. I am
not sure but it seems to me that tagged mail

I just tried this in KDE 4.10.2:
I tagged a message with the tag test.
Then I went to dolphin and typed the following URL:
nepomuksearch:/?query=hasTag:test
The email will appear in the result
