KNotes is a standalone app that manages one or more notes; the sticky notes
that appear on the desktop are individual Plasma widgets.

Here's another indication of a bug:

I'm actually not sure either. It's quite likely that there's some sort of bug
there that caused the unintentional creation of so many notes, but if you can't
reliably reproduce the issue, we have no way of knowing

mouse actions says middle click paste -- but I want that.
Normally it doesn't paste into a sticky note. Why it did so this time
