Public bug reported: Ubuntu 20.04 5.15.0-91-generic NVIDIA 390.157 PC gets stuck at the terminal when booting. Can start startx manually, but the NVIDIA driver is not used. No problems with 5.15.0-89. I have another PC with NVIDIA 470.223.02, kernel 5.15.0-91 works there. ** Affects:

I also have this problem. After the automatic update from kernel 5.8 to 5.11 this error occurs. The error only occurs during a cold boot. When rebooting the system, this error does not occur. Here an interesting thread about this problem:
