My horizontal stab was done without foam extensions, all

I see that you have extended your H/S by 12" total. Was the extension done
with spar or foam.
And for the horns,I see that the leading edges are the same, but how much
further than the H/S do they extend.
Quick question for Mark L,
Will the Dr Dean hinges work with your templates?
Thanks in advance

Sure, one way or another. I haven't really looked at it, but as long as the
gap seals and elevator and rudder noses are concentric with the center of
rotation of the bearing, it should work fine. That might mean that you
is not the case.

After consulting with the Aerospace Department at Mississippi State University
concerning the pitching up of my KR-2 upon stall approach, a probable cause has
been reached. The Horizontal Stabilizer is stalling prior to the wing stall.
This may be caused by the longer wing by Dan

You can put a stall strip on the wing to make it stall first look at the
inboard leading edge of a Beech Bonanza and the Tiger and Traveler of
American Aviation Co. Easy quick fix.

No. that makes a rumble so you can recognize the approaching stall

Early Lancair 2 seaters had a tail stall problem. If you look at the
Lancair 235 compared to the Lancair 360, the tail is much wider. A lot of the
Lancair 235s have been modified to have the later model tail to correct the
stall
problem.

Bill,
I spent lots of time in my Mustang II with guys that were used to
flying General Aviation aircraft. Every one wanted to fly it. In all
the time I had it (800+hours) I can't remember anyone that was
successful at a stall sequence the first time. With out fail,
everyone over controlled it

ults I get from
increasing the area of the horizontal stab.

Curious as to what your horizontal stabs weighed in at? I haven't

Don,
I can say that I have the AS5046 with the AS Stabilizer set at -.75? as
per the drawings. I rarely and I mean rarely ever find it necessary to
trim the elevator in cruise. If I want true hands off flying, which I
have done for a five minute period on an extremely calm day at cruise,
