System - ubuntu 7.04. amarok 1.4.5, installed from repos.
When I trying to play music - all fine . ps ax shows,that amarokapp is in list
of running processes and have some memory allocated to it. And in gnome-panel
where is amarok icon. But then
Amarok is a process that usually stays running in the background
collecting information about your music. Have you tried opening your
process manager > selecting the amarok application > clicking kill?

I think the scores do come into play in some of the smart playlists or
dynamic playlists, but I'm not sure how. I do think I've heard that
manual ratings are given more priority than the score that's calculated
based on how often you play it.
So is your idea then, that the impact of star ratings
It's actually more minor than that.
My point is just that if the ratings are used as part of an algorithm to
determine scores (1 == less likely ; 5 == more likely), and if also 1 is
unlikely to be chosen due to "awful" songs probably not being kept in
