[libreoffice-l10n] New Pootle pilot server

2012-11-08 Thread Andras Timar
Hi,

The installation of the pilot Pootle server for TDF is now complete. It's
using a dump from the 7th of November.

You can access this pilot server at https://libreoffice.locamotion.org

Yes, I know the certificate error pops up but since it's a temporary thing
we can live with that, can't we?

Please test this new server during the next few days and report problems
here. We wouldn't like to make the real switch if any big issues arise.

The server is **for testing purposes only** and that *any data entered will
be lost*.

If all goes well, we would make the final switch on Monday.

This final switch will require a downtime of few hours in the current
official server (translations.documentfoundation.org) in order to upgrade
the DB and avoid any data losses.

Additional downtime is expected next week, related to the uploading of
LibreOffice 4.0 templates. I'll write more about that later.

Thanks,
Andras

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] ODFAuthors Texts in Pootle: proposal

Hi All

I wonder if it would possible to integrate the LibreOffice documents loaded
in the ODFAuthors site inside Pootle, to better work with them and share
translations/strings.

What about it?

It is very interesting that you started this thread at this time. We,
the German documentation team, are looking for a good way to spread the
translation of a guide.
We translate some guides in our wiki, e.g [1]. An instruction in German
is here [2].
Now we want to try an external translation tool for documentation and
want to give OmegaT [3] a first try. One of our volunteers is working
with it.
There is a need for a place to put the database on a free and open
place. After that we will start with a test.

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] New Pootle pilot server

2012-11-08 Thread khagaroth
I didn't find a functional problem when I quickly sweeped through it
(will test more thoroughly a bit later), but some of the active
elements (Show timeline, Add comment etc.) using the LO green are a
bit too faint and hard to see in their inactive state so that could
use some tweaking. Also the completion status bars use different
lengths, that seems to be intentional and depends on number of
strings, but it looks like it doesn't work 100%, ie in Czech UI
project, all the status bars are too short.
