[libreoffice-l10n] Help request to localize website - donate page

2020-04-08 Thread Luca Daghino @ Libero

Hello all!

Anybody can give a little help localizing the "Donate" page of the
english website?

I'm trying to update the already existing italian page; I'd like to add
the "Donate your time" part, but I can't find a way to add it.

In the html code in SilverStripe that part is missing (or... I can't see
it); in pootle the italian part for the web is completely translated; in
weblate I can't find anything related to the website.

I've also tried creating a new "donate page" for the italian section (in
case the donate page template had changed), but got the same results.

In the english page I can also see a horizontal bar (Subsite operations)
that is not present in the italian page, but that bar is empty, so I
don't understand if it's really needed. When creating the italian donate
page from scratch, that bar is not created, though the chosen page type
is "Donate page", just like the original english page.

Besides, I may be wrong, but it seems to me also in the english page the
text showing up in the published page is partially different from the
text appearing inside SilverStripe.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

If you want to maintain a page that does not have the same content
as the English one, create a new page under the path
wiki.documentfoundation.org/IT/ and name it however you want.

Solved, i recreated this page and put the original content in it:

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/IT/Localizzazione/it

This page was changed by user Dennisroczek and had a redirect to the
new one.

I moved it under https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/IT/Localizzazione
because the /it suffix served no purpose.

Ilmari

Hello,

Well, if you have admin permissions, could you then delete that page? I
created that page but I intended to create another url; the system
didn't let me do it.

And after that disable redirect of this page:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/IT/Localizzazione/OmegaT-IT

I need to put the content of the first page in the second one. If you
can set the second page as a normal page (not a redirect), I can put the
content in it, so to take it back to the situation that existed before
the user dennisroczek made the redirect.

Thank you

In the case of UsingOmegaT, the English version is very different from

If the page contents match, one can use the page migration tool. The

[libreoffice-l10n] Mistake in english calc guides (?)

2018-02-06 Thread Luca Daghino @ Libero

Hello,

Just wanted to point out a possible mistake in the Calc guides (3.4 and 4.1)

On page 80 (Calc 3.4) and 85 (Calc 4.1) you can read:

"Lastly, you can choose whether to use the first row or first column, or
both, as labels on the axes of

the chart."

"Select whether to use the first row, or first column, or both, as
labels for the axes of the

chart."

If I'm not wrong, these two options in step 2 of the chart wizard are
related to the chart label, not to axes labels (that can be
added/changed in step 4). I suppose the title of the section should be
corrected too.

Thank you

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] LibreOffice website - 5.4 New Features page - HTML for translation

2017-07-28 Thread Luca Daghino @ Libero

Il 26/07/2017 16:47, Mike Saunders ha scritto:

Hi everyone,

Below is the HTML that I will make live on Friday for the release of
LibreOffice 5.4, for http://www.libreoffice.org/discover/new-features/
in case anyone wants to translate it for other languages...

Hello Mike,
There's a little error in the page...
The line

LibreOffice online - your office suite, anywhere

does not show up; if you click on the plus sign you open the above menu
of the Impress line.

Bye :)

New features to boost your productivity

In LibreOffice 5.4, file format
compatibility has been improved, with better support for EMF vector
images. In addition, imported PDF files are rendered with much better
quality, while a new colour palette has been added as well. On Linux,
you can use OpenPGP keys for signing your ODF documents.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/lBNWOWJul4w; width="560"
height="315" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0">

Edit documents with
ease

In Writer, you can now import AutoText
from Microsoft Word dotm templates. When you're exporting or pasting
numbered and bulleted lists as plain text, their full structure is
preserved. There's also a new watermark feature, accessible via the
Format menu, while new context menu items have been added for working
with sections, footnotes, endnotes and styles.

Work smarter with
spreadsheets

Calc now includes support for pivot charts, which use data from pivot
tables – and when the table is updated, the chart is automatically
updated as well. Meanwhile, comments are now easier to manage, with menu
commands to show, hide and delete all comments. When you're applying
conditional formatting to cells, you can now easily change the priority
of rules, with up and down buttons. Then there are extra sheet
protection options, to allow insertion or deletion of rows and columns,
and when you're exporting in CSV format, your settings are remembered
for the next export operation.

Perfect
presentations

In Impress, when you're duplicating an object, you can now specify
fractional angles. In addition, your settings are saved for the next
duplication operation. Finally, a new keyboard shortcut was added,
Ctrl+M, to insert a new slide.

LibreOffice online -
your office suite, anywhere

LibreOffice Online has been improved as well. Performance is better,
while the layout adapts responsively to mobile devices. In addition, a
read-only mode has been added, along with change tracking support,
native comment rendering and editing, and initial support for Asian
language input methods.

I'm currently working, thanks to the help of others, on a task related
to the SilverStripe websites. When implemented, the result will send
an email to an email address specified by the community, on every page
edit being published. This feature can be enabled on a per-subsite
basis, meaning that localisation who have upgraded to the newdesign
site can choose to use this or not. Work on this task is currently
being finalised so I'd like to ask two things to be able to finalise
the project. It would be very appreciated if a lot of localisation
teams respond to these two questions.

1. Would you be interested in enabling this feature for your website
(ex. it.libreoffice.org)?

Interested for it.libreoffice.org :)

2. Would you want it to send one email to the specific community
mailing list or would you prefer to be able to specify another email
address or maybe multiple?

Thanks for your interest.

multiple would be great.
Thank you! :)

[libreoffice-l10n] Errors in Impress Guides

2017-04-01 Thread "Luca Daghino"@Libero

Hello all,
Just wanted to point out there are some mistakes in all Impress Guides
(page 147 for 4.2 Guide).

When presenting arrow styles:

- If you want to use this arrowhead style in other presentations, click
the Save Line Styles icon -> If you want to use this arrowhead style in
other presentations, click the Save arrow styles icon.

- Saved styles have the file extension of .sod -> Saved styles have the
file extension of .soe.

- To use previously saved arrowhead styles, click the Load Line Styles
icon -> To use previously saved arrowhead styles, click theLoad arrow
styles icon.

That's all!

Hi everyone,

I have now finalised these scripts:

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Videos/5.3_New_Features_Script

And I will work on the videos this week. If anyone wants to contribute
translations in other languages, that would be really appreciated and I
will add subtitles to the videos before we launch.

For those who've already started translations, I changed "own cloud" to
"private cloud" on line 11 of General for clarity, and also made this
change to line 10 of General:

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/index.php?title=Videos/5.3_New_Features_Script=142266=142234

If you could update your translations accordingly, that'd be great, thanks!

Let me know if you need more help

Hello

We have a new website designed to make easy for the user to find our

The website will be easily accessed with the forthcoming LibreOffice
5.3, by opening the menu Help - User Guides...

To help the NL communities I have set a wiki page explaining a bit more
about the website.

If you want to open a page for your locale, please let me know, I can
assist in setting the right page and guide file tree.

Hello Olivier!
Thank you for this! :)
Could you please add italian and give me assistance to setup the page?
I already log in to main website (silverstripe) with the address

[libreoffice-l10n] Suggestion + little mistake for bh guide

2016-08-12 Thread "Luca Daghino"@Libero

Hello all,
I've seen on page 29 of the bh guide 3.5 that, while talking about the
jdbc connection in the previous pages, at a certain point there's a
referring to the direct connection to a mysql db; as this passage is not
so clear (at least to me), isn't it better (for future guides of course)
to add a statement (more or less) like the following?

"...but it does give a visible indication of the direct connection." ->
"...but it does give a visible indication in case of a direct
connection, using a native MySQL connector (see page 24)."

Last... there is a little mistake on page 24:

"...for versions of LibreOffice from 3.5 onwads..." -> "...for versions
of LibreOffice from 3.5 onwards..."

It's the same also in the 4.0 bh guide.

Thank you! :)

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Remember to adjust download shortcodes / version filter in download pages for 5.2

2016-07-19 Thread "Luca Daghino"@Libero

Il 18/07/2016 14:21, Christian Lohmaier ha scritto:

Hi *,

seems that not all projects did update the prerelease shortcode to
point to 5.2 line yet,

http://it.libreoffice.org/download/pre-release/ for example even has
pointers for 4.3 and 4.4, so it never will be listed there...

(only the automatic listing at the bottom of the download pages will
list it: http://it.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ )

so please make sure to adjust:

* prerelease downlaod page:
   [devDL,ver="5.2"]
→ devDL tags should be added with version 5.2 and 5.1

* portable versions:
   [portableDL,type="Standard",ver="5.1"] and/or
[portableDL,type="All",ver="5.1"]
should be added for version 5.1 and 5.0 ("All" is all language
build, "Standard" is the reduced language version, feel free to only
link one of them)

* download pages themselves:
"codeline to offer on this page (major.minor)" 5.1
→ make sure it shows 5.1 version, feel free to use that for both
fresh and stable at this point (as 5.0 is already EOL, and update
check will offer update to 5.1.4)

Of course you're not obliged to use the shortcodes/have links to
versions in them. But if you do, please make sure to update them.

If you don't use them, remove the shortcodes completely and either
point to the english page or add text explaining that the available
versions are listed at the bottom of the download page.

Suggestions on how to improve the handling of this for nl-projects or
other questions regarding the shortcode → please to the
webs...@global.libreoffice.org mailinglist only (ideally in a new
thread, with the subject adjusted to the question at hand)

ciao
Christian
