Yesterday we had a wonderful evening with Alicia Jane Boswell in Amsterdam. She gave a presentation about her work and her motivation of including lace in it. She told us why she wanted to do that and that she teached herself how to make bobbin lace and that she started right away with metal.

I'm curious why Jean-Francois Millet has been associated with this lace. If this lace was inspired by a painting, I believe the painting would have had to be much older than those painted by Millet in the 19th century. The style of the figure in the lace is much more consistent to the

I think that is smart to not schedule a lunch if there are not many people willing to attend at a given price. I would like to point out that when you are having lunch in a room, most often you are paying for use of the room and having the chairs and tables set up as much as you are paying for
