REALLY?! All this infighting regarding the exchange makes me feel like I'm listening to a bunch of high schoolers arguing over who gets to be head cheerleader. There is no cheer in it - Christmas or otherwise. In most groups, it's difficult to get anyone to volunteer to do anything and now

Could I make a suggestion? Perhaps the organizers of various exchanges could form a committee and discuss who would be responsible for different exchanges. This would solve a lot of problems, by ensuring that everyone knew ahead of time who would be running an exchange, allowing members to cover
