Dear Lacemakers-
On the subject of diagrams, I find diagrams extremely useful and do try to
make the lace without continuously looking back at the diagram. Sometimes it
takes working a couple of repeats, but with each repeat of the pattern it is
easier to make the lace without the diagram.

Last night I put all 39 names on little pieces of paper, folded them and put
them into a box. My husband, John, stirred them round and round with our 2
Scotties watching attentively. (They must have thought they were going to get
something good to eat). Then
