They are intended to use bobbins, but he used a round table with a hole in

Here in Virginia Beach, VA we have Ferry Plantation House (1830 - 1850). We
have a pillow and bobbins in the house thought to date around the mid
1800's. It was found and bought at a barn sale not far away from the house.
My theory is if the pillow was here, someone was making lace on it.
David that is an astounding piece of lace. The other astounding thing is
how do you manage your time so well - you have so much on the go.

Urban Zundt of Zundt Designs in Switzerland did a presentation at a machine
embroidery conference I attended a few years ago and some of the fabrics he
displayed created fabric that looks very similar to the effect on Mrs.

I have been working on a edging for a Christening bonnet to go with a gown I
made last year. I still have to design something for the back of it yet.
Have to take a break from it tho as I gave myself a beaut of a steam burn on

hand-wipes along. Otherwise the thread absorbed so much moisture from the
air that I sometimes could not pull a ring closed. Since a tatter touches
the thread around the hand, I tend to avoid powder or talc or anything that
would get on the thread.

neighbour put caught her arm in her electric one. After that, we weren't

I am making a garter and a little bag with matching lace for my sister,
she wants something for her lippie and her ciggies). Adding the
grosgrain ribbon does sound like a good idea, but I will still insert it
at the same time as I make it.

Bev, are you putting the ribbon in as you go, so much easier, I did that
for the 4 metres of lace on my great nephew's Christening gown, put ribbon
on a bodkin then overlay and underlay as you go.
