I am hoping I might be able to use the black silk for my convention class of Ipswich with Karen Thompson this August in Sacramento. I managed to get a new copy of The Laces of Ipswich by Marta Cotterell Raffel from Abe Books for about $8 including shipping. I got another copy for my friend who is also taking the class. These came from Powell's in Chicago so they didn't have far to come. At the same time I ordered a used hardback of Colour and Texture in Needlelace by Ros Hill for $5 with no shipping charges. How can they do it so inexpensively.
