According to my local newspaper, tomorrow June 18 is Worldwide Knit in Public
Day.
The local knitting store promotes it and has people on the sidewalk outside
the store doing needle arts. They say all needle crafts are welcome.Â

Last Saturday we had our Knit in Public Day at the Madrid costume museum
(Museo del Traje) and of course there was a bobbin lace table with some
pillows ready prepared for those who wanted to have a try, too.

My local paper has a Knit in Public demo listed on Sept. 14. They invite
knitters, crocheters, and spinners. It's listed as a recognition of fiber
arts.
Fiber arts.Lace would fit in there. I think I may just take my
pillow and chair, and join in, providing it's not raining that day .
Yes, this activity has been introduced by the Costumes Museum (Museo del
Traje) in Madrid (Spain) and will take place there June 14th.
Of course bobbin lace making will be represented by a group of lace makers
(a couple of friends and myself) who will show how different types of laces
look like
