Good day to all the Spiders!
As some of you already know (from Facebook) I am going to Europe during June
2014
I will be going to Paris and Le Puy-en-Velay then
to Milan and Cantu/Como and
finally to Idrija for their lace festival.
I would appreciate any information you can help me with
Hello Anne,
I am sorry but there is no shop for lacers in HH. All lacers here get
their stuff by snail-mail from one of the dealers like Gebriele oder
Heikina de Ruyiter or others. And still the laces aren't on display in
our museums and at the moment the room with the Lacemaker by
Liebermann
Anne and all,
I had the opportunity to go to Germany last year. I had asked in
advance about lace and found that there isn't the lace of an American's
dreams there. What I did find was that there still exists there old fashion
department stores that have craft and sewing departments.
My DS is leaving for Hamburg, Germany, on Friday, Nov 25. He will be in
that area (with the Army) for 2 weeks. Are there any shops he should go to
so he can bring me lace stuff?

Patty and all spiders, re no lacemaker lives in lace heaven well I
think
crammed with useful dress, craft and curtain fabrics. But no

We were also battling to find calico until we went to the Indian shops
(imported fabrics) They have a fabric that we call calico but they call by
another name. Hope

Hello Lacefriends,
Very short my comentaire to this theme. Here in Germany we had once a
lot of shops who sold all for handicraft in the german Handarbeiten.
Handmade lace didn't belong to this. They diapeared, no have shops who
sell wool. And we have the departement stores which sell
Sof's comment about not knowing of a shop in Paris to buy
lace supplies makes me think that this lack of good craft shops
must be world wide, not just here in Australia where the numbers
are diminishing rapidly.A local shop of fabric material told me
yesterday the Lincraft chain has gone
