A couple of people have asked if I will post my raffle internationally and
the answer is yes. I now have 19 names in the pot so far but will drawer it
on the 11th April.
We were on our way to visit my very sick aunt who is in a care home close by
so didn't do more than a quite look around the museum, but my DH was
fascinated by the very old sewn samplers dated in the 1700s and sewn by 9
and 10 year olds. Also they had a fantastic beaded design covered box which
we both drolled over. They had several figures (dummies) sitting at lace
pillows which I will have a better look at next time I manage to go. Also a
case of beautiful fans are on display.
I was born in the town and lived there for 28 years but I dont think they
had the collection there then.
