Thank you Nancy for your generous praise. Needlelace is such a minority lace
and I thought it might inspire others to have a go.
It's so portable too!

What lovely work! and a very sophisticated web site. I am blown away by how
beautiful your needlelace is--you have such talent. I've tried my hand at
needlelace and I find bobbin lace so much simpler easier to control, so I
really admire your abilities. (and slightly envious as well :-)

Congratulations Catherine on your excellent site, I really enjoyed the way we
could actually see work in progress from start to finished project.
Was the parasol displayed at the 7 exhibition a few years ago? I believe it
was the one we admired when we went to the exhibition.

Dear Catherine,
Thank you for sharing. Your site is amazing as is your work. It is wonderful
to be able to see and study your work up close.
It will be inspirational to us all and what a lovely start to my day here in
wet Wollongong, but the sun is peaking through.

Hi Sandi
Your new website is wonderful and your beautiful designs are just gorgeous.
I vividly remember seeing for the very first time, your wonderful shell
exhibited at the John Bull exhibition when Susan and Roger Cox were still
running The English Lace School in Devon. We had never seen
Hi Sandi,
Wonderful website. Spend a while enjoying the lace pictures of your magical
lace. However, I have not come across any mention of the delightful booklets

Hello All,
I too have completed preliminary work on a website; not as organized as
yours Sue. However, I have tried to get as many of the pictures with pattern

Where did you get that pattern and the Musical Clef one? They look like two

Thanks, Sue, for sharing your website and lovely laces: and thanks to your

I was lucky to find a teacher locally and went for lessons for almost 4
years. In this way I learned the basics of several techniques which have been
a huge help over the time since she retired and I have continued on at home.
I did find the dvd very helpful in learning how to do enough
Sue, your website is lovely, as are the pieces you display. What a
great variety. I'd never thought of using lace as photograph frames; I
think they look particularly good on the sepia photos.
A delight.

Nice site, nice laces - I especially liked the 'fledgling designs' - the
crown is smart, and the Torchon shapes are lively. Keep up the good work!

Hello Alex!
Yes!! I was able to open the website, and to navigate around in it! I
was so impressed with the lace that you and Jean have designed!
I'm happy to say that I have several of your books, and find the Cassell
Dictionary to be one of my favorites!
Thank you for sharing this

Hello Alex
If Jean has really only been using a computer for a couple of months
she's done fantastically well. There's substance to the site, not just
a blog, the layout is clean and the hyperlinks all work. Well done.
Re the pattern; as I could see no 'download' button and no hand
This is a very nice website.
I went to the link below directly, my browser edited the dot at the end ;)
I printed out the pattern from my jpg viewer and the printout was spot-on 4
inches, on the indicator line.
