Hello,
I don't know.
And I not sure that there is a shop as you want in Paris.

Sof's comment about not knowing of a shop in Paris to buy

Hi
I'm usually lurking here, but as I'm a parisian spider, I had to come out of
lurkdom to answer that question.
There's no craft shop (at least to my knowledge) in Paris where you can buy
lace supplies. Some bookstores, such as Brentano's avenue de l'Opera will
have a few books on lace, but
I have been making lace for many years using spangled bobbins (Torchon,
Beds, Brugge Bloomwerk, various tape laces). I decided to treat myself
to a few new books at Christmas time (Honiton and Milanese). It was
suggested when I bought the books that I might want to try Continental
bobbins

If you are working Honiton with the traditional fine threads that it is
normally worked in then spangled Midlands bobbins will be too heavy for that
sort of thread.
Thank you very much for your replies.
I can see that we are fortunate here in Spain, as craft shops where to
buy all type of supplies for patchwork, crosstitch, laces, knitting, and
textiles have not disappear yet!
Best regards.

IMO you will be best using whichever bobbins you feel happy with. If
you have always used spangled bobbins then it is difficult to get used
to the different way of handling the unspangled ones, and you will
probably be happier and make better progress using your spangled
bobbins. It is
I agree with the previous postings. I started with Belgian bobbins and
switched to Midlands with the spangles. I loved the way you could fllip
the Continental bobbins around, but I hated the way they rolled.
However, when I started making 1/12th scale lace (for my miniature lace
shop), the
I borrowed the twined gimps from (I think) Russian peasant laces, where they
often run down the center of cloth stitch tapes, being passed over and under
twisted worker pairs rather than being enclosed in the workers. Since the space
between the ring pair and the cloth stitch in Binche is also
Hi Paula,
Your needlelace projects are beautiful even when viewed up close. Wish I could
handle a needle! The cow is a neat project as well.

because I agree with all that has been said.
