Isn't that the cutest little thing. I have no use for another pillow, but it
is tempting, if only as a curiosity. Thanks for sharing the link

I vote for No. The working area for bobbins in only 10 wide. It is
awkward to have bobbins hanging off
Dear Lace Collectors,
This is about connecting dots (but not about lace patterns, threads and

work surface, which would be a problem. And even if you bundled your bobbins
and hung them off the side as you worked, the work area is too high, not wide
enough, and puts your hands at an awkward

Sorry - that sounds offensive to tatters. It wasn't meant to read like
that - just that the piece on EBay is clearly not tatting and it would be

I thought I'd mentioned this a few weeks ago - I found, in a book about

explains perfectly the many misconceptions about bobbin lace.

I surely do agree with Alice. I, in fact, saw the same, or similar,
coasters sold in sets of 4 several years ago. I don't recall the cost,
but they were clearly marked Made in China. I did buy an oval piece 5 x 8
inches for a nominal price, which I don't recall but was probably about $5,
I just had a look at the coasters. The seller has changed her description:
Several of you have written these doilies/coasters are handmade bobbin lace. A
different stitch technique than tatting.
