At last I'm back on Arachne. I've been retired since April, you might
remember I mentioned I was going to retire. But problems with email which
meant that I had to change my email address, also the arrival of a new
grandson and a holiday means that I've only just got myself sorted out
In my library is a large lace exhibit catalog: The Romance of Real Lace
This accompanied an exhibition at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Paul
Textile Arts Gallery, August 1, 1993-January 9, 1994.
Inside, it says the lace collection of the Indianapolis Museum of Art is
considered one of
Laundry is done so now I'm sorting the bags of loot that I received at
convention. There is a tiny packet of fuzzy, stretchy bands (2 blue 2
yellow) 2 miniature safety pins. How do I use them? Many thanks.

Does anyone on the list have any experience of Venne's silk threads? I have
just found out that they do silk in 30/2 and 60/2 and would like to try
them out. I tried looking in Threads for Lace for a thickness comparison,
but no luck. Perhaps it is still very new?

I use stretchy bands to bundle bobbins when I need to work with multiple
bobbins as a single.

If Torchon is done right side up, why are pattern prickings the opposite to the
final photo? I worked on a Lace guild rainbow bookmark. The stripes on the
pricking went opposite to what the finished photo showed. Happened on a big
nativity pattern as well ( that that was free style).
