A lot of people think of that pattern as the "cream" of the book,
because of the finer thread. Me, if I ever wanted to try a Bucks
pattern with 55 (basic) pairs, I'd probably go for the Rosa Perfecta in
the same book, and just copy it slightly finer -- there's a much nicer
balance of "thick and thin" in that one; the Seascape has too much of
the plain, boring, net :)

Why didn't you write about that two years ago!!! :-( I have had the Seascape pattern
on one of my pillows about that long and I just go back to it between doing the fun
stuff. I found doing all that blasted net so very very boring that I have to have
absolutely nothing else to do to make me go back to it. I am on the last side now and
as my DD still shows no signs of getting married I probably have plenty of time to
finish it.

Freezing my butt off in Crystal Lake, Illinois, where to escape a power cut at home I
took to my car. The outside temperature as I drove was 3ºF and the wind chill brought
it down to -20ºF. Power back on now so the house is warm again and I can flush the
loo. (we are on a septic and well and when the power is out everything is off)!!!
