Yesterday I was about to print our old lace guild byelaws before we discuss 
changes today.  It should have been 8 pages.  By reducing the generous margins 
and cutting down on extra spacing, it came out to 4 pages!  Of course it may be 
a little harder to read, but I will be throwing it away after the meeting.  
Actually, I will be recycling it in some fashion as it will not need shredding.

The website www.changethemargins.com is calling for desktop printer owners 
everywhere to take the simple step of changing their margins from the current 
luxurious standard 1.25 inches to a more modest .75 inches. It may sound like a 
small change, but if everyone in the nation did it, we’d save a little less 
than a Rhode Island’s worth of trees every year. 
Consider changing the margins on your own printers at work and at  home.
