Dear All,
I'm gathering some real world info for a presentation for my local LUG,
and wondered if everyone would be so kind as to briefly describe what they
are currently using LDAP for in their organisation.
Thanks for your time,
Gavin.

a counter entry in your directory. That's what Samba
does. The increment that and update it after adding the user.
There are many ways.
Thanks.

Hi,
I'm currently using O to store department information, and OU for
division. Now we have a need to further separate out a division, into
different units. What are people using for such a need?
Why not OU again?

Doesn't mean OL is compiled against this version though.
And of course, one has

with the LDIF and/or config file that I'm
missing here???
Yeah:
bdb_back_initialize: initialize BDB backend
bdb_back_initialize: Berkeley DB 4.6.21: (September 27, 2007)
2.3.x should be used with BDB 4.6
Also, you're better served e-mailing the OpenLDAP lists.
Thanks.

would all be fine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Directory Studio does, so does Softerra LDAP Administration,
phpmyldapadmin and many others.

That's what ldapvi is for - regular expressions within the full database
without issues.
If he can install it that is, but yeah reach for that too.
