When you go to http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp, you need to
make sure you select the Unsubscribe option. It defaults to the Subscribe

Good Morning,
I'm using Legacy Deluxe version 7.0.0.55 with Vista.

Syble,
You are looking at this the wrong way round, what you need to do is to teach
Legacy to find the pictures! Try to open a picture/zoom on a picture when the
question mark (cannot find) appears. A screen will pop-up asking if you want
Legacy to search or do it youself. Opt for the latter
You don't need to rename them. Just change the file path. Look under
Options/Customize/Locations/View Current List of Multimedia Locations,
and then *change* the path to your pictures.

I know that the pictures folders that I use are a complete mess.
It would be good if I could open something like Windows Explorer within
Legacy and drag pictures from folder to another and have Legacy update its
paths.
Could perhaps then put them into some sort of logical order.

Someone with V7 will have to step in and try to help.
You are looking at the Assigned Sources window ... correct?

Okay, I did think of that (even though the pedigree chart is an

Well, if you're printing, that's alot. Is it really 40 pages if you're
only doing the direct lines?

I don't think so. I tried mine and got 40. Depends how young your
grandchildren are. The ancestor chart is shorter but harder to follow.
You can do a Focus Group search and come up with a list of direct line
ancestors but then what? Even if you print the list showing
relationship, it won't
Perhaps we're not looking at the same pedigree chart. This is not done
through Legacy Charting. A Pedigree chart is 4- or 5-generations per page
and automatically numbered so you can follow to the next page. I've never
seen one laid out end-to-end.

No, I have not researched my d-i-l's line, so when I speak of my
grandson's ancestors, I am only talking about through his father (our
son). So, you're saying to start an ancestor report with me, start
another report with my husband?

The first thing I would include as a part of the book (in the front), the
pedigree chart, which can be used as an 'index', or be used side by side with
the report, so the kids can read notes and point directly to the chart. You
don't mention the Publishing Center, (which is in the Deluxe part),
I think it's easier to follow, although there will still be some confusion
because with every marriage there is a new surname. One of the books I found
that was for my father's ancestors but done as descendancy report(s) for
each surname, truncated when the line connected. At first I was
I do have the Deluxe (although I have not been brave enough to update
from the version 6). With the publishing center, what can i do along
