Martin,
Just wondering if you are using the windows resize feature correctly... you
should be able to resize each window so that they fit perfectly side by side
on the screen. Font size has nothing to do with window size. Do you know
how to resize the windows? I have worked for years with two

Someone on the TNG users group (I am sorry I cannot locate exactly who

I am wondering if this is possible to do, if you kept each program in very
separate folders? This way I could still work with family members using
Intellishare, who still have Version 6 and are not remotely interested in
the more complex Version 7, with smaller more branch specific databases.

I guess I could, its no different than intellishare in many ways.

OK. I may do this anyway as it will give me a chance to look at the program
and play with it without upsetting the applecart. I don't use charting
anyway for most part. Thanks for letting me know.

I recently decided to set up website using TNG and Legacy together, so have
set up all my Legacy picture document folders to match the ones in TNG's
default set up. I will be collecting info as usual, adding it to Legacy and
then periodically uploading entire Legacy file (as it grows) to TNG.
I have two ways of doing this. One is in the General notes screen to source
a series of ongoing notes within the note itself. Above each note I put the
source information, then add the note followed by a series of asterisks
(which serve as a divider bar so I can clearly tell where each note
other event is.

Never heard the term netbook before, but assume you are just talking about
the tiny notebook computers that have hit mainstream lately. I guess I was

Thanks for your reply. It helped me get this straight in my mind and what
you said makes a lot of sense.

I have been a Legacy user for many years (still on Version 6 for stability

If I am the keeper of the master file and running on Legacy 6, and another

work? or do all members of the family who are working on a file all have to

I am glad you are up and running Barbara. For the future I have a
simple solution in case you ever want to do this sort of thing again.
I do NOT save my downloads to the desktop. In the My Documents
