I just run the latest Legacy Update 600.188 and now the
program won't open, get an error: Run Time Error 380,
Invalid property value.
Any suggestions on what to do rather than a full uninstall
and reinstall?
Thanks,
George in Arizona

Hi,
Talked to Geoffrey Rasmussen in a class I'm taking in
Arizona, last week. Geoffrey says they are close but could
be another
1 - 2 months out.

format options for colors, lines,
bullets, etc on your family tree pages. Nothing fancy but
fairly nice to look and read.

A Military event is not 100 percent accurate, since not
everyone who filled out/completed the registration card
actually served in the Military.
It however, is still a great source for finding birth date
and location on some, resident, occupation, physical
description, and nearest relative info.
Claire,
There is nothing wrong with your thinking, everyone to their
own choice as to how many limbs you want to go out on your
tree.
I am one of those who have extended my 3d and 4th cousins
lines past any direct connection. I do this because I enjoy
looking up the family histories and
I had the same problem and I solved it this way:
Type OBryan and have the program accept this.
Then open the file again and edit individual and put the '
between the O and B and Legacy may ask you if this is right,
say yes.
You can go to your master lists Surnames and edit the
incorrect one
Glenny,
You might check with your local library, in the USA there
are many libraries that allow you
to access HeritageQuest.com with the bar code from your
library card.
This is FREE access to Census and many other records.
PS this option is for using the library computers plus from
your home
I have several names in my file that an error report
requests I check the gender and repair. However, when I
open the edit individual, the gender M, F. ? is grayed out
and won't let me make any changes.
Any suggestions out there?
Thanks,
George in Sunny Arizona

This is weird, the names are single not married and grayed
out so a swap of husband and wife option does not apply.
I tried to unlink for parents and edit
keep them as
private files
or make them available to sell to recoup your expenses.
Another Legacy member suggested LuLu several days ago, thank
you very much. I have checked out several self publish
sites
only to be dissatisfied with the options and cost.

Barbara,
It is well worth the effort. I have over 23,000 names and
bout 2,000 photos that I've switched over from FTM.
Legacy has actually helped in that you can easily clean up
your files with the Legacy tools.
I am sold after over 10 years of FTM.
Sincerely,
George
