Yes, I did exactly the same thing to figure it out but there were some
templates that would not print out exactly as I wanted in the Event
field, Chronology display and Ancestor Books. Did you have this
problem? I ended up giving up my Event preferences for Census records
and City
I agree. I like V.7. Providing all those features while maintaining the
flexibility we all enjoy was very difficult. I think it was well tested and
had remarkably few significant bugs. I'm happy.

I'm an ex-TMG user myself. You're gonna love Legacy!
I find just showing the Citation Previews in the Add Source Detail screen
helps get
through the sourcing process. That in itself was worth the up-grade from V.
6 to 7.0.
It's SO much easier than TMG and as flexible as it needs to be.

I too use gmail and for the most part like it. I have found that it has a
pretty effective spam filter so every once in a while I have to go rescue
some responses from commercial companies that gmail thinks might be spam. I
just tell it it's not spam and thereafter they get
