Judy,  Just a word of caution...  I wouldn't worry about using Access on your Legacy .fdb file this early in your Legacy journey.  As I understand it, there are only certain things that people here on the LUG list have figured out how to do do safely, or have developed tools to do safely.

Still trying to grasp the implications, so forgive me.  But, if you compress these (residences or military) into one event, then on the chronology, it will be one event spread out over time/ the life of the individual, losing all detail.  That matters only if you use the chronology, though.
