My understanding is that all events prior to marriage go with the
Parent's MRIN and all events at or following the marriage would go
with her MRIN.

I think it is generally that way - but of course it is your choice.
My dad filed by Marriages (before computers, so before MRIN's) - and
generally filed everything with that person if they had married, so that if
he was looking to research one person, he had all the info together. I
