Thanks for all the suggestions! I must have done something right - I did re-log-in under Options, as Geof suggested. I am now being able to search the IGI via Legacy. I do find that oftimes when the Legacy seach does not find a person, if I will search on
www.familysearch.org I find that person.
I just did another IGI search, and got the same repeating 33 second
delay. I went to the IGI search screen, options, and did a test. It
was successful. I saved and the next time I tried an IGI search, it
proceeded normally, without any 33 second delays.

Mary, It is just possible that you may have to reregister via Legacy. If on
the IGI Search Screen when you click on the Options button Family Search
Account Settings is one of the options then this is the case, click on that
and complete the details.

while back, users of familysearch.org were required to update their password. I
wonder if you just need to update the password inside Legacy now. Just click on
the Options button in the IGI search screen, and select FamilySearch Account
Settings.
