There is no best. I think it really depends on which computer you consider to be the one that you will use for the majority of your data enty. If you are going to use them about equally, I would consider keeping the data on the portable, but just remember that it will be subject to more abuse

If I want to use Legacy on a desktop and a laptop, is it better to keep the data files on the desktop and move them to a portable drive for access by the laptop? Or is it just as useful to keep the data on a portable hard drive and access it off either computer? I can't find a reference to this

Hi Denise, I'm not sure I'm right, but I keep my files on a FLASHDRIVE and then also have a place to save them on my laptop and another on my desktop. I also use a 500GB hard drive to back important files on. This is probably over-kill, but I hate loosing my work . . . With a flash drive
