I'm with John on this. I have been doing this for well over a year
with great results. I never get confused as to which file contains my
most current data, as it is always on the USB Flash drive (and I have
backups on both the laptop and desktop hard drives).

There is no best. I think it really depends on which computer you consider to
be the one that you will use for the majority of your data enty. If you are
going to use them about equally, I would consider keeping the data on the
portable, but just remember that it will be subject to more abuse

Hi Denise, I'm not sure I'm right, but I keep my files on a FLASHDRIVE and
then also have a place to save them on my laptop and another on my desktop. I
also use a 500GB hard drive to back important files on. This is probably
