Susan,
That is exactly what I do with the SSDI. An event called Social
Security Number with the details given on the SSDI. Then the SSDI used
as the source of that info plus the dates of birth and death.

Hi - a few more questions
When I do reports the first of the source citations come out in bold font -
then it switches to normal. It isn't as if it is the first 5 or so and it
doesn't even seem to be the same number with any given report. I prefer
them in normal font and it is easy enough to
Just as an aside--I'm sure you are all aware that the SSDI information is
not necessarily accurate. Several people have posted their families on the
web which included my father who died in 2000. The SSDI states his last
address was San Diego, CA. He was never in San Diego in his lifetime. I'm
Actually - the SSDI usually states the address of where the death benefit
was paid. This could be a relative, an estate attorney, the
executor/executrix of the estate, a trust, the guardian of minor children,
or a funeral home. It usually does not mean the last address of the
deceased.

Hello --
Just for information sakes, the last address is usually where the death
benefit was paid. Do you have a relative or family member out in San
Diego who handled the contact with SS and the final financial
arrangements at the time of his death? This is most likely where the

I spend a lot of money obtaining copies of death certificates, obituaries,
marriage certificates, etc. I'd like to keep track of how much I'm
spending, but I can't seem to find a field in which to record this
information. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Have you unlocked the real power of Legacy?
Have you figured a way to use it as tax deduction?

Natalie,
I don't think that would pertain to genealogy facts, however if you keep
track of your finances in a financial program like Quicken or Money, then
you could just assign that expense to a catagory. That is what I do and it
works quite well. If I want to know how much I am spending then
That's rather ironic Reg, as this email from you also came in asking for a

Hello everyone. Let's not forget that we can turn off the ability to see

It is best to change the actual Event Sentence Definitions to fit
the way you enter data and only use Sentence Override for exceptional cases.
I agree but now my problem is that I have something in the Notes
field for an event but I have clicked
The SSDI listed at Rootsweb.com has a place to add a post-em. Perhaps
you could enter the info there in case someone else is searching your
person. I added one to correct my father's birth date.

To removed Sentence Overrides, highlight everything in the Sentence
Override and then press the delete key. Make sure there is no
asterist (*) in front of the Sentence Override heading. If there is,
not everything got deleted.
After that, it will use the normal Event Sentence.
