Don't use File Maintenance Compact. All the missing RIN's will be
filled and you will loose 10001, 10002, etc. and it will place them in
order of the RIN's of DB1, 2018, 2019, etc

There is an option in Tools renumber RINs which will fill in missing
numbers for either RINs or MRINs, perhaps that is what you were thinking
of when you said high RINs would be renumbered.

My question is how do I list the Surman Index as a NEW Master Source.
Our Great Grandfather was a Congregational minister who was born and
attended Bala College in Wales. His ministry is listed in the Surman
Index that is located in Dr. Daniel Williams's Centre for Dissenting

Are you wanting to use SourceWriter or to create a Basic Source?
I think I would use a Book template in SW.

Russell,
You probably did have the picture attached more than one place, given that you
told us it was on a source citation. Typically, you have cited that source for
more than one fact/field and even more than one individual (I know I do).
Besides doing this in a live run of the check
On second thought...
You might consider renaming the file back to the original name, then going into
the picture center and renaming it again to the new name you wanted.
I haven't tried it that way, but I think it could work.
(Would not have worked for my PDF file.)

Lavern,
I just had a lengthy dialog with the folks at EvidenceExplained.com to work
through a very similar issue: too much information from ancestry! You might go
out to their website and read some of the threads in the Citations forum, then
maybe even post your own question there.

I have no idea what the difference is between SourceWriter , Basic
Source and Master Source and other words I have seen on this email list.
Basic Style and SourceWriter are two different methods of creating
source citations in your Legacy database.
Master Sources are created by these methods,
