Does Version 8 of Legacy (Deluxe) have a simple way to compute the total number
of descendants for a particular individual? I checked the archives and see
LTools has been used in v7.5, but wonder if the new version now has this
capability.

Legacy 8 is lacking such a tool. You can tag all descendants and their spouses
and then search for that tag to get the count but Legacy does not take into
account the Relationship to Father and Relationship to Mother statuses. So

are documents that were added years ago in 7.5 or even 7.0. Others were

It is the only way which I know that is suitable and problem free. Additionally
one can also search on that field.

I am having a problem using the Name Search option. Using L8 latest update.
If I enter surname then 2 or more Christian names, they do not appear. I
then need to use the search key at the bottom of the page. If was not a
problem previously. Am I missing something?

I confirm that I can duplicate the situation you describe below.
I also note that if you right click ANY tag in individual view, the make
changes on tag # always defaults to tag 1.
