The problem with the Hints has nothing to do with the server. MyHeritage
had an API (programming code) change on their side which caused us to have
to make a code change on our side.
The Legacy download IS housed on the broken server so we parked a copy on
the Amazon server that houses the Legacy
If the problem was just the Legacy Cloud backup, that would be understandable,
but, from the many comments to the contrary, both from beta testers posting
here and users, the whole Legacy program was affected, and version 9 could not
be downloaded! We were advised that many of the problems with

On deleting (under Options) from the wrong person’s Story cache, Legacy
helpfully presents this dialogue -

Choosing Remove Story from this person allows it to remain in the Story cache
of others (in my case, just one).
Perhaps the Legacy HELP
Ooooh! That sounds neat and usable. Did not know that you could drag and drop
BETWEEN family files. This work around might be my best way until Legacy adds
the feature.
Many thanks Dave !

Apparently the sky is falling. Of course, the banks, doctor’s office, etc.
store critical data on their server(s) - therefore they must have a fail safe
system. A server that houses among other things FREE cloud back-up is far from
being a critical system.

You are 100% correct. Imagine if the servers at your bank, doctor's office,
hospital, amazon, Google, ad infinitum, were out this long! Something else is
going on here. Maintaining servers is a 24 hour duty. If MyHeritage had no
total image backup, Legacy made a potentially lethal mistake.
I've recently moved a family file, including the media files, to OneDrive
for the ability to use both my laptops and share via email with other
family members. Now when attempting to add additional jpg photos Legacy
totally freezes. It works perfectly until I add new media. I have gone
through
And also be aware that the current Legacy cloud backup system is broken,
following a server failure about 3 weeks ago.
Millennia (Legacy) and My Heritage have built a new server and currently
configuring it.
Don't ask me why it is taking so long. Most companies who lose a server
will get it
One trick I used many Legacy versions ago to duplicate a few different
individuals probably still works but it may be more complicated than you
wish.
First, as with all experimentation, make sure you have a good backup of
your files.
Open a new *empty* Legacy file -- I named mine "empty.fdb"
Then
Cloud Backup is free. Note that this is not a full service backup
however, Only your data file is included and there is only one copy
held. It is strongly recommended that you consider this an extra backup
not your only one. If you have media linked to your file you will
certainly need to back
Does it cost to use the backup to cloud feature in Legacy?
Is there a problem with security if you use it?

I mistakenly attached a Story to the mother, and have shared it with her
daughter – which is where it should be.
Can I delete the Story from the mother – or will that remove it from both
people?
It is easy enough to copy/paste and re-type the subject/date, etc – but I am
interested if deleting
