My feeling is that you should import the GEDCOM into a new Legacy file and verify it, which should be good but might be dependent on how longer ago you created it. Then you can create a copy of your live Legacy file and merge the new one into that. That would ensure that you do not override

I understand there are two ways to merge a gedcom to my master files: one by merging the gedcom file directly into the master file; the other is to use the gedcom to create a new LFT file, then merge that database into the master file. That latter seems a lot more complicated. My question is,
