I had exactly the same problem last winter and spent ages and ages trying
to resolve it. In the end I installed Legacy on my husband's laptop where
it works perfectly, so I think there is some basic problem with my own
laptop. I can do most things all right but if I get those Errors again, I
just
CCleaner.
I've used it for years and it's pretty safe.But I doubt it'll fix your
problem either.
Did you run that fix from the Microsoft page I sent you? Nothing
would fix my file maintenance check/repair until I did that.
