I have been using Legacy Family Tree since version 4 and I have been a
subscriber to the legacyusergroup for a long time. I enjoy reading the
Legacyusergroup emails, which I sometimes find useful.
I looked at the LUG FB a little, but did not find it useful and have not
looked at it recently.
I used the AFN field for AFN numbers.

I also have not been happy with how Family Search sources don't match
with other LDS systems or other sources. During the 2002 - 2007 time
period I spent countless hours researching my Finnish family, ordering
micro fiche from Salt Lake City, reading hand-written records in birth,

Autosomal DNA is not just Y-DNA. Mothers contribute half the DNA to
the children. So you would not want to remove the spouses.

Nancy,
You ask, Why do I have it buried behind all that stuff? I presume you

I had that problem when first using Legacy 8.00.
I believe the legacy fdb file needs to go Into Documents, not AppData.

I have been using the FamilySearch tools in Legacy for about a month.
They are great! It is wonderful to be able to see what is in
FamilySearch for an individual and family and to see what is in my
Legacy database at the same time and to be able to see what is linked.
Looking forward to
I worked for an hour or more on Ancestry.com, searching for census
records for a family for 1900, 1910, etc. I could find records and copy
text about an individual, but I was not able to connect to the image of
census sheets. This would cause a reset. Then I would have to go back

I agree with Charles. On a couple of different sessions, I struggled to
manually add sources/citations/reason/notes to individuals on FS and
finally gave up. Too much of a hassle. Maybe I should look for some FS
tutorials before attempting anything else.

Elaine,
This is not a Legacy problem; this is a Windows8 problem. Many people
found that the new Windows 8.0 tiled user interface did not work well
for some of the things they were used to doing with a computer. Many
users found it hard to find their ways around 8.0
